I think what I have chomping away at my brain is Cameron - Let's Get it On. The piece that's eating me alive is a really gutteral sounding guy sorta half shouting half singing Dance yeh or Dancin' You gotta dance y'all in front of a funky slapped bass pattern.
Am I right? Please help this old man.

Definitely sounds like it to me....

But it's called "Let's Get It Off" not "On".

Aaah!! Memories of that summer of 1980!!!!

That summer we had the best nightclub ever in Tunbridge Wells - Carriages - which was a massive place - a converted dance hall. Folks even used to come down from London for the club - it was that good!  Cameron and "Let's Get It Off" was about the biggest record that summer, and I always remember dancin' to it every single time in carriages with TRACY F***** (I wonder what ever happened to HER?? )!!

Unfortunately, at the end of the summer, the owners burnt the club down - to try and get the insurance money on the club  And that was the end of that..

But if there is one record that reminds me of those wonderful summer nights - it's gotta be CAMERON!!

Loved that song by Cameron....too bad it died here on NY radio and never that huge in the clubs either as I never heard it anywhere I went...and in those days, I was getting out as often as I was getting in...
