    Dear Blaxman!
Well, Iīll try to describe to songs or
    trax you donīt know:

    -BRANDYE"Crossover Acapella"(LP/"Crossover
To Brandye"/1978/This is a very nice
soulful DiscoLP and has been released on
    T.K./This one is only vox)

    -DREAM ORCHESTRA"Pick Up The Pieces"(7"/
Donīt know when itīs released, but itīs
a cover and very funky DiscoJazz/Probably
from Holland/This track is also my opener
    for every "Hot Disco Nights")

    -SANTA ESMERALDA Feat. JIMMY GOINGS"The
    Green Talisman"(LP/"Green Talisman"/1982/
I think thatīs the last album from Santa/
Sounds a lot like "Donīt Let Me Be..." and
    is very dramatic!/Typical FlamencoDisco)

-TERI DE SARIO"The Stuff Dreams Are Made Off"
    (12"-Version/1978/Released on Casablanca/
Also on this 12" is "Ainīt Nothing Keep Me
    From You"/LatinoDiscoDiva a la Gloria
    Estefan...very sweetly KitschDisco, but
    classical)

    -B.C.G.(BOB CREWE GENERATION)"Street Talk"
(12"-Version/1976/A very good one in Mid-
Tempo and an ocean of strings...very nice
    InstrumentalDisco from the typical Hustle-
Era of Disco!/Released on 20th Century)

    -V.I.P.CONNECTION"Please Love Me Again"
(7"/Another but faster track full of
    strings and lovely vocal-chants...very
sweet. Released on Rampart/I need the 12")

    -EVIDENCE"Come Into My Life"(LP/"The Evi-
    dence"/1979/Typical DramaDisco a la France/
Similar like Alec R.Costandinos and prod.
    by Tony Rallo)

    -CAPRICE"Russia"(LP/1980/Released On Goody
    Music/Good old ClassicItaloDisco with fast
    beats and lovely arrangements/Produced by
    F.J.Petrus!!!)

-ATLANTIC STARR"Let The Spirit Move Ya"
    (LP/"Straight To The Point"/1979/A wonder-
    ful BlackDiscoAlbum full of danceable,
lovely tracks. I admire this track a lot)

    -ANACOSTIA"Heartache In Disguise"(LP/1977/
This Album is very sweetly and typical
    Van McCoy!Nice male falsetto-vocals and
    very soulful)

    -CHERYL DILCHER GROUP"Shake Me Up"(LP/"Disco!
    -The Third Album"/1978/From a compilation
    and another easy femalevocal-discotrack, but
a little bit short/I think it has been re-
    leased on AVI???)

-LAURIE MARSHALL"(All Day And Night)We Will
    Make Love"(12"/Special Disco/1976/This one
is a typical pornografic track like Andrea
True or Marilyn Chambers. SleazyDisco at
    its best)

    -CRYSTAL GRASS"Crystal World"(LP/"Philadel-
phia Soul"/1975/This one is a real monster.
A great bassline and sexy DiscoFunk! Even
    SīEXPRESS sampled the Brass-Section for
"Theme From SīExpress"/This is a real
    classic!)

    -SYLVESTER & JEANNIE TRACY"Give It Up"(LP/
"Too Hot To Handle"/This Album is full
of Ballads, but this short track is very
    funky and real soulful GayGarage!/1981)

    -LOWRELL"Out Of Breath"(LP/1979/Avi Rec./
    Smooth-Disco prod. by Eugene Record/Also
    on this Album:"Overdose")

-CAROLINE BERNIER"Love I Donīt Wanna Hear
About It"(LP/1981/This track is prod. by
LePage and sounds a lot like himself!/
The rest has been prod.by Edwin Starr)

    -FLASHLIGHT"Who Am I?"(LP/1978/This one is
    a re-issue on Philly-Groove/Another soul-
ful philly-like track...the whole Album is
    a must for PhillyFreax)

-BLUE RONDO A LA TURK"Heavenīs Are Crying"
    (LP/"Chewing The Fat"/1982/More a crossover
    between LatinoDisco and NewRomantic and
was popular in England. This track is very
    danceable and percussive)

    -SNOB"Le Robot"(LP/"Are Women Snobs?"/197?/
They are probably from Canada and Harder-
Disco. This track is real crazy and I like
the sentence"I would kill for Disco!"Hard-
    CoreDisco)

    -UNYQUE"Disco Lullaby"(LP/"Makes Me Higher"
    1979/Also on this Album:"Itīs Hot".Fast-
and HarderDisco. Many friends from here
    know this record)

-PUSSYFOOT"Lay Your Love On The Line"(12"/
    Long Version/1979/She did also "Dancer
Dance", but this one is much more commercial
and sounds like BritishDiscoPop. For those
who are into Kelly Marie...sounds a lot
    like HI-NRG).
I think thatīs enough for now.

Sirius and Blax: Only one thing to add.
The biggest track in UK for Blue Rondo A La Turk was 'Me and Mr. Sanchez' 12". Similar to the other track described, but @ 127 bpm and infectious, it would always wake up a dead audience, especially as part of an extended Salsa/Latin feel mini session.

    Dear Quinny!
I am now listening to "Me & Mr.Sanchez" and
    sounds very funny-happy...could be combined
with Kid Creole & The Coconuts or even
    Modern Romance.

Sirius: Hope it's the 12" instrumental remix.
The rhythm was what the track was all about.

Sirius; Modern Romance - Yep, Kid Creole - Only know 12" releases all of which were around 110 bpm. I used to mix MSO - Columbia with it and on a good night people would go ape.

    Dear Marcio!
This seems to be the Album-Version with the
    dramatic Intro...
"Standing In The Shadows Of Love" has been
also used by BARRY WHITE, FEVER and even
CERRONE/FREAK CONNECTION. The fine thing is,
that I like all versions, and wasnīt dis-
appointed about, because every version has
    its own style.

Oops, what I forgot to mention was USA-
    EUROPEAN CONNECTION from BORIS MIDNEY:
"Iīd Like To Get Closer/Do Me Good" sounds
similar like CARESS, but doesnīt matter,
because I love it. A friend of mine got
shivers of excitement(no joke!) as he heard
this Sound. Now thatīs what I call Disco-
Fever. HOUSE isnīt able anymore, to create
    such feelings.
If you are into hard-driven Beats, symphonic
but arty StringParts and vocals like from
another dimensions, then I recommend you
    USA-EUROPEAN CONNECTION.

    Dear Marcio!
    Exactly this is the one!!!
Oops, about CHERYL DILCHER GROUP"Shake Me
Up": This track has really been released on
AVI Records, but beware the Album...itīs
horrible. Only this one I mentioned is nice!
