Arrow French Disco Part 5: David Christie

maybe a one-hit wonder but the tune has become a classic. Enjoy the famous go-go dancers from German cult tv-show MUSIKLADEN.

Re: French Disco Part 5: David Christie

David Christie's "Don't Stop Me I Like It" is one of my favorite Disco Tracks. Maybe because of when I heard it first. In my stomping grounds on Long Island, NY, I was guesting at a party that DJ Pleasure was doing at the Wyandanch Recreation Center and at a heated part of the party Pleasure whipped out a three record set that made the crowd go crazy and made history - everyone that attended that party still speaks about that night fondly.

    David Christie's - "Don't Stop Me I Like It"
Don Ray's - "Gotta Have Lovin"
    Foxy's - "Get Off"

Pleasure was introducing These songs for the first time to this crowd. They were brand new imports maybe just like a week in the states. This party was in the second floor cafeteria of the rec center and the floor was bending up and down. This is a steel gurder building I might add. He rocked the the last two minutes of Get Off for like a 20 minutes.

I know that i'm spedning a lot of time on Foxy's "Get Off" but it was David Christie's Track that really set it off.

"Stress" is a great slice of 80' synth disco, very infectious tune...
But here are more 70's Disco songs from David

I notice that this is written by Robinson & Bolden who wrote most of the 'Fame' LP for Grace Jones.

James Bolden is one of the pseudonyms of David Christie...real name says Jacques Pépino
