Ruoffended: I may be showing my ignorance here but........... Had you heard of any of the tracks on Disco Juice 2 before you bought it?
I personally have never heard of any of them, or P and P records. All sounds a bit minor league to me. Tell me am I right or am I wrong? I'd be interested to know.

P and P RECORDS stands for PETER BROWN and PATRICK ADAMS , no need to say who are those 2 cornerstones of DISCO. They produced arrange or wrote almost of the material of this great comp. , P and P resume different label of 12 inch such as Sound Of New York , Queen Constance , Land Of Hits , Heavenly Star , Golden Flamingo and P and P , most of the material is underground disco. I personaly consider this music not minor but major . 2 months ago ive bought the 3 cd box set of KENNY DOPE - DISCO HEAT on that one feature a track of 2 min of the band AHAZZ - New york moving , a superb disco track ,i now have the full lenght version of this track now on DISCO JUICE i also knew CLOUD ONE - Dust to dust a real cool slow jam also WILLIE WOOD and WILLIE WOOD CREW - Willie rap , good stuff and HIGH FIDELITY - Magic carpet ,found this one on a ACID JAZZ comp. 3 or 4 years ago , My opinion , this set is fantastic real cool stuff in there all on one great record , so time to get out of the minor and go to the major , dont think you would regret it , seriously is one of my great buys of 2002...................RU

The Disco Juice series is worth it's weight in gold and so does almost every Patrick Adams production ever (I'm a fan I admit).

It's so hard to find original P&P releases and thanks to these God sent compilations almost everyone can get an idea of what true underground dance music is all about.

Where were these records played???? I've never heard of any of them. I never even heard of the record label until somone mentioned it here a while ago.

YET, I have all of Peter Brown's records and a lot of those produced by Patrick Adams.

How could this record label run by two name artists and all of these records have totally flown under my radar???

What years of release are we talking here?

    Just curious. :???:

Ruoffended: Thanks for the info. I'd have to listen first.
Marky: Have to agree with you on this. I don't think any of these were released in the UK (unless it was after '87).
I guess there's underground and then there's UNDERGROUND.
