Forgotten Heroes - Phillipe Wynne -
Lead singer of the Spinners 72 to 77. I would rate the first Atlantic lp by them as one finest of the 70's. He signed for Sugarhill Records after that, made a couple of good singles for them, but he never really made that breakthrough as a solo artist. He sadly died in 1984
His best disco effort is a great soul disco track that was never released as a single. "We dance so good together" is included in his 1980 Uncle Jam album and is simply wonderful!
LOVE DON'T HURT PEOPLE, PEOPLE HURT PEOPLE
That 1984 LP Wynne released on Sugar Hill was excellent but vastly underrated! It did sound older than 1984 though as the MIDI obsession found elsewhere wasn't overly present on that album.
