    I didn't know I had that song.

I was listening to an old tape of Shaun Buchanan's and he played a song that I wasn't familiar with. The lyrics were something about sharing the night. A few minutes later I was flipping through my cd's and I spotted a song called "Share The Night" by World Premiere, I put it in the cd player and sure enough it was the same song that Shaun had played 20+ years ago.

I had no idea I even owned this tune. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Was this song a hit back in the day?

Not knowing you had a song, tell me about it. In the 70's the record shop i worked in had 3 deliveries a week from the U,S. we had the new tracks in stock the same day as the N.Y stores. The problem with that is i spent to much money on them. Imagine spending the equivelent now of £100 a week .I probably bought 20 or 30 7", then lots of 12" & LP.s. I don't have a very good filing system so i'm not suprised at anything i find. The World Premiere track got released in the U.K. on a Polydor dance label offshoot,it was a pretty steady seller.

A-Freak-A by Lemon. I had taped this off the radio over 15 years ago and tried to ID it for the longest time. Funny thing - I bought the Lemon CD back in the late 90s, mainly because of Freak On. I didn't even bother listening to the other cuts, so I was looking for a song I already owned for the last several years. I got it ID'd a few months ago.

I bought Patrice Rushen's 'Posh' CD mainly for the 'Never Gonna Give You Up' track & then discovered it was on the b-side of my 'Forget Me Nots' 12" which I'd had for years & just forgotten. (Dizzy queen?:-? )
