I probably qualify as a "hipster" but i loved that video. It could be that i'm a big Linda Clifford fan .I've got the album with me now "Let me be your women." the "Bridge" has a 10 min mix by Jimmy Simpson, also on it is the horrific "One of those songs" - Ethel Mermam?
    My favourite L.C. tracks.
    Runaway love.
    From now on.
    Don't give up.
Tonights the night.(L.C. sings Rod Stewart)

Whoohoooo! Just what I needed to see on this dreary Sunday morning after a pathetic night of djing to a bunch of miguided club kids who have been led to believe that music only comes in the form of over-the-top hype and plastic disguises.

What I love about watching these vids of our disco past is the absolute honesty and the artist's true sincerity in presenting music that beams with excitement and fun. When you add in incredibly strong vocals by someone like Linda Clifford, you can't help but smile and long for days when dancing was the goal.

That hand clapping sure helps too!:p

Spellbound, I am shocked, shocked I tell ya! How dare you post such a clip when you know very good that a notorious hipster like me will be offended!!!! :-o

Well, seriously, I know that a lot of "genuine" Discolovers can't appreciate the Discofied version of "Bridge". They call it tacky and shameless. I like it, I always liked it. It has punch, it's uplifting and very well done IMHO and I play it very often.

Sam, thank you for posting it ;)

Discokicks ..... I hope those crowds vary from night to night ....don't forget ...even way back ....there were those dud off nights .......keep sharing what you have to offer !! I dream of the day you become the hottest thing in town ....as suddenly everybody realizes you're the wise guru who holds the mesmerizing secrets of legendary dance times gone by .....8-)

This Linda Clifford video adds some punch to this song. I can remember not taking to it at the time ....it came out as part of this hyped up glossy RSO two record packaging ....and seemed overloaded with slick paint-by-numbers production. To me at the time it was comparible to doing to disco what mass produced gimmicky big budget movies of today do to cinema ..
I remember listening to this song and thinking "oh oh '... they've really got the formula figured out .... now EVERY old song can be disco "......:x

.....Sounds pretty darn good now and seeing Linda performing it helps (you know , the crowd hand claps do make it less mechanical )
.....one of the classier ones ...wasn't she .....
It has that full-throttle gloriousness in sound I'm typically drawn to ..... sort of a sped of take on THE BOSS --- with its rolling drums and blasting horns .....

The audio-quality is not so good (so Mixmachine, pay attention) but this is her very best IMO:

B.O.T.W is absolutely a hipster track, and secure in this knowledge I recently spinned the whole shebang to a big roomful of young gays, with the bass so loud their moisturizerd faces seemed to morph.
