Thanks for the YouTube link Videoskooter. Surely YouTube.com must be the best thing that ever happened on the Net.
That song "Encore" sounds a lot like a Monte Moir production to me.

"Got to be real" will always be her most known classic and is certainly marked in my brain since the song was used in "Carlito's Way" but our Cheryl surely has made other excellent stuff too!

Tim, no sweat :-)
In case some readers ask themselves why we open so many threads with those links, it's the simple fact that some links are taken off the air after a while and IMO it's better to post it when found.
Other news is that YouTube.com has discovered that many people upload music-clips on their site without permission from the legal owners. They now want to obtain the clearance of all major recordcompanies to host almost ALL :-o the music-clips past and present.
So, if they succeed in that, they will be BIG on the net!
What a happy Video that "Shake it up tonite" is :-Dthis song was very popular club record at the time, as for "Encore" I never even played this back then.. :???:a bit weak for me, I'd like to see a performance of "Star love" :DI heard some group bestowed on Mariah Carey the record for that 'highest' note ever recorded, but I think Lynn's pipes in "Star Love" must be somewhere very close to that record.8)
By the way Video, thanks for the volume warning on the other thread, Ive since discovered that if you re-set the volume low on the player it keeps the setting as a default fro all downloads, I guess it must be a cookie. But I'm still using only one ear for now![]()

............:x................
Here's the problem with that SHAKE IT UP TONIGHT video .....besides the fact that it was made with a 1.99 budget .... but nevermind ...even so .....
Who's idea was it to cram big ol' Cheryl Lynn into a tight house party and have her crawl over the guests while trying to sing !!! I get claustrophobic just watching it .
Besides that the song is all about getting ready to go out .... Shes already there & smack dab in the middle ! ....Seems like at the very least they should have occasionally cut away to her sitting at a big mirror getting herself proper ( ..." .I'm gettin' ready " .....) choosing her shoes looking in the closet ....calling her friends drinking a big ol high ball ..etc.
Didn't they (herself included ) pay any attention to the lyrics when deciding what the shoot should be about ??? )
