OK of course the original :
290) FIRE- Ohio Players
(Mercury) D= 2; E = 12; Total points - 14
2 weeks on the chart (1/25; 5/24/75); Peak: #19
(1974-75 Year End Disco Consensus Tabulation )
now I can think of two other disco versions of this same tune
(and if I can think of two .... that means there must be at least ten !!!:razz:!!)
So ................what are they ????:-?:-?

leroy sugarfoot bonner from the ohio players remade the song on his solo album sugar kiss in 1985. he retitled it fire 85 .
This was one of my favorite tracks long ago, when I was really into Van McCoy's stuff.
There's a track called "Fire", by Mantus, on their S/T album. Although this is a composition by Mantus, not a reorchestrated version of the Ohio Players' track, I thought I'd post it, if only to incite readers to listen to this pretty cool track. You might even like it and want to listen to the rest of the LP, then their other album, "Midnight Energy", it's really worth it.
