A strange experience it was! At first I didn't like this record at all. Then it began to hook me in a rhytmic kinda way. Maybe some can recommend other stuff from this artist?

Check out "DO YOU REALLY WANT MY LOVE?" from the "Beverly Hills Cop" soundtrack. I liked that one a lot. ;-)

Back in tha day, everyone thought "MAMA USED TO SAY" was by Stevie Wonder....the great Tee Scott remix really improved that track. :D:D:D

I reckon it must have fooled quite a lot of people. What a great record and the intro was a mixing DJ's dream, with that incredible sudden lift and drum stab, crescendo into where the rockin' 4/4 track really started. Ya know what I mean.;)

Mama Used To Say was fantastic back in the day - to be honest, I had no idea he recorded anything else. It came towards the very end of the disco era for me - and I thought the lyrics were cool for a dance song.

I love the track "I Can't Help It" from 1981-- it has a poignant sound and great early 80s vibe. I came across it on the CD Funk Essentials: 12" Collection.

LOL! Another track that features on my 'Disco but not Disco' show!! I play the UK version, as opposed to the US one which I think Q refers to. It was released here in c. 1981 which is late for me! :-o I obviously liked it as it a record I bought at the time.
