Hi H-Baby: that song "Stormy" is by the Classics IV....Autumn of '68.....check out their greatest hits for more of the same...you may remember their "Spooky," "Traces" or "Everyday With You Girl" which were equally as good.

Hi Marky: YES - you are so right about that Phyllis LP - it is certainly one not to pass by.....her death was such a loss to the music world!....

BTW, what CD or LP is that Benoit on?...I thought I had all of his music but I do not recognize the name? Thanks, my friend....

Cornelius Brothers originally sang "Treat er Like A Lady" back around 1971/1972 and it sort of fits between disco, funk and R&B. I wonder if the Cornelius brothers are related to the Soul Train host Don Cornelius?

Anyhow as well as I love disco, I'm into rock especially 70's Australian glam rock like Skyhooks, Hush, Sherbet, Ray Burgess, Stevie Wright, AC/DC (they were glam metal back in the early days pre-1977). Anyhow some rock I've been listening to in the past few weeks are:
    Hush - C'Mon We're Taking Over 1974
Ray Burgess - Love Fever 1975
Alice Cooper - Department Of Youth 1975 (Watched the videoclip, it's fantastic)
Sherbet - On With The Show LP 1973
Mud - Use Your Imagination LP 1975 (This album does have a disco track called "Use Your Imagination" and it wasn't their only disco song, they also did "Shake It Down" in 1976)
Skyhooks - Ego Is Not A Dirty Word 1975/Living In The 70's 1974/Horror Movie 1974 (Watched their Countdown performances from my video collection great clips and great music)
AC/DC - Baby Please Don't Go 1975 (A fantastic heavy rock cover version of a Rolling Stones hit with Angus Young doing a fantastic guitar solo in the middle of the song. They did this song on Countdown as well in April 1975 and Bon Scott was dressed as a school girl. They did the same song on Countdown a month earlier with Angus Young dressed as Superman. That was back in the days when AC/DC were a glam rock/heavy metal group before they went big in USA and other countries.)
Chris Spedding - Motor Biking 1975 (This is one rock song I'm addicted to, and it pops up in my head when I'm going for rides on my bicycle  )

Australia mate! The land of many great funkateers!

The Temptations and Cornelius Bros. & Sister Rose songs "Treat Her Like A Lady," are only similar in title as they are two entirely different songs

Hi again....."Dancing In The Moonlight," was by King Harvest...late 72/early 73 and "Brandy" was by Looking Glass (summer of '72).

    Hi everybody,

    here's some non-disco albums I'm listening recently:

    - ORQUESTRA KLAXON, by Max de Castro - one of the greatest new talents of brazilian music, Max de Castro mixes Samba, Soul, Hip-Hop, Latin and Drum & Bass brilliantly. Fantastic production, great songs, this is the best brazilian album of 2002 until now. If you want to know the best of the new brazilian sound, this is the real thing!

    - SIEMBRA, by Willie Colon & Ruben Blades - I never heard this 1978 album until this week (shame on me). It's a revelation, a true masterpiece of Latin Music. This is one of the most important Salsa albums ever - if not THE most important. Filled with classic songs, like PLASTICO and PEDRO NAVAJA, the album opens with an ironic reference to DISCO (great joke, BTW). Everyone shoulda hear this one.

    - DON'T SHOOT ME, I'M ONLY THE PIANO PLAYER, by Elton John - my favorite album by Miss Elton, filled with wonderful songs. My favorite moment: BLUES FOR MY BABY AND ME.

    - RUMOURS, by Fleetwood Mac - I never ever get tired of hearing this album after all these years! A classic indeed!

    - SCARY MONSTERS, by David Bowie - "Fashion /Turn to left/Fashion/Turn to right..." Need I say more?

    Peace,
    zeca azevedo
