It has been eating away at me ever since I caught the tail end of an informercial about disco.
I should know it, it was one of the dance icon song of disco dancing..

I would have to agree with jj6ms...Joe Tex's "Ain't Gonna Bump No More" is the only title that comes to mind except for the late 80's/early 90's dance hit by E.U [Experience Unlimited] which is titled "Doing The Butt"...Though it was not a disco tune. Just a possible lead in case it's not "Joe Tex" you are looking for.
