I'm sooooooo disappointed that no one remembers this song. I played it to death but never owned my own copy. It's one of those that I never got round to buying.
T'other day a record suddenly popped into my brain, but all I can remember are some of the lyrics and I think the artist. However, searching the internet for a nugget of information has proved fruitless.
SO, AM I DREAMING?
the song was Dance On and I think it was by TONY SYMON and I think it was on Contempo records in the UK. Anyone out there remember it?
BTW: Where is the old Contempo catalogue? They released some great records in the early-mid '70s. Anyone know?

I have a 12 inch here , could it be RANDY RAIDER - Dance on ( disco darling ) 1977, this is the only record i have with a title Dance on ..............RU
**Dreamin\' about those disco lights**
ruoffended. Thanks for the info but I don't know.
The track I remember has these lyrics on top of a SW Boogie on Reggae woman/ Isley Bros. It's your Thing type of rhythm track:
Dance on......Dance on baby,
Groove on..... groove on baby,
And if you keep on groovin'
I'm gonna dance...with you
or something similar.
Guess What? I was clearing out some old junk today and spied a Contempo sleeve in amongst hundreds of others and..........It was the record I'd been thinking of except it was called ROCK ON (dance On) by Tony Gregory released on Contempo (UK) Records CS 2113.
An intro like Eddie Drennon's Let's Do The Latin Hustle but slightly more Reggae influenced, it was a cross between that and Stevie Wonder's Boogie On Reggae Woman. Really funky bassline and Clavinette Keys. It was one of my most played toons in '77 in sunny Mallorca. If you're into older rareities it would be worth checking out.
