# 2 Janet Jackson ?
# 3 Andy Gibb & Victoria Principal ( All I Have To Do Is Dream)?
# 4 Pointer Sisters or Temptation ?
I recently found a 1988 U.S. book called TV Rock, with plenty of trivia about musicians and American television. I did a hunt for disco artists (there are many featured) and came out with this quiz for American disco fans (all questions refer to U.S. programs).
If you know the answers, chances are you are really a disco TV addict!
1) Whick male TV actor turned singer had Donna Summer appearing at HIS own TV special in 1977?
Hint: His second album had a funny title.
2) Which member of the Jackson Family acted in the 'Diff'rent Strokes' series?
Hint: Was also in the 'Fame' TV series.
3) Which famous TV actress recorded a single duet with one of the brothers Gibb?
Hint: He's dead.
4) Which star disco band appeared as themselves in an episode of 'The Love Boat'?
Hint: They had some problems when they appeared in television in another boat.
5) This disco hit from 1978 was turned into a TV movie of the same name in 1985, and its singer played the lead role.
Hint: Appropiately, the guy recorded it also in a Spanish version.
If you guys have the answers to this, I have some more quizzes for you. Good luck!

5) Barry Manilow's Copacabana
Number 5 answer is correct! :D BTW, did you see the movie? I don't remember it.
Number 1 answer is wrong. Here's another hint: this guy had started his TV career ten years earlier, playing a "mystery singer" who sang wearing a mask and never did show his face! :o

David Soul ?
Correct!![]()
You did four of the five, shenkin. A real TV fan or you're very good at guessing ;)
The David Soul and Friends Special aired in ABC in August 18, 1977 and had, besides Donna Summer, Ron Moody and Dick Clark as guests. Clark was the producer. The "mystery singer" bit was also in "The Merv Griffin Show", also in ABC, during 1966-67. And the funny album title is, of course, Playing to an Audience of One. I guess David did just that with his music career! :p
