That song was big in Connecticut discos.
Interesting about Prince touring with da Stones Nano. Even though Prince infuses rock with his music, it was still a bad mix. I'd like to know who the dumbasses were that would mix classic rock with disco/dance. Anyone remembering those times would know the rock crowd esp. stone fans would have had a lot of hate for anything sounding disco!

Thanks Johan. I was looking for that vid here but no luck. Not so impressive as legend had it, but very funny... Jacko is his good-boy harmless person and Prince is completely drunk or who knows what... LOL :razz:

BTW, the version of "Party Up" is especially done for SNL and here's my point: Prince makes great records but when he does the songs live, he really is supernatural.

I've seen him live about 30 times and man....there are no words to describe those experiences :-o

He was in Argentina only once, in 1990 during the Gulf War. He played a football stadium and it was fantastic, if a little short (for some reason he cut it out at 75 minutes). Very James Brown-ish stage antics, and superb playing taking turns at guitar, piano and drums.

I found a bootleg DVD called "Miles in the Park" which has the legendary New Year's Eve 1987 concert in which Miles Davis appeared on stage. Not so great, but just to see the two of them together is incredible.
