This is Lady Marmalade, originally by Labelle.
Lots of people have covered it though so I don't know which version you're talking about.
What's the name of the song and who is singing the cute intro to the
Lifetime Channel's introduction to the new airing of "Desperate Housewives" on their Saturday evening lineup??? I'm having a hard time understanding the words to the song, because
the verbal promo for the show is so much louder. But, I think I am hearing "go sister, go
sister, go sister" or maybe it's "soul sister, soul sister, soul sister". Then there is a phrase
that sounds like it is in French. It's a female vocal with a female chorous.

Kendela, thank-you so much for solving this mystery for me. I have listened to "Lady Marmalade" by Patti LaBelle and am so happy to discover
(or maybe, rediscover!) this song. Now, all I have to do is wait for my
cd's to arrive. Thank-you again for taking the time to help me.
Sincerely,
