Well it hit the USA Box Office big time this weekend and I've seen the trailer but has anyone here already seen it? Is it good? Does it live up to expectations? Does it have the same panache as the TV-stuff?

It's directed by Michael Mann, one of my favourite moviemakers so it sure will be 1000 times better than the abominable Starsky & Hutch, right?

Big Screen nirvana. Absolutely mesmerising, like a hot ride in a revved-up Lamborghini Miura. Technically perfect and edited to perfection, it moves like a flash, looks stunning and gives you a long, satisfying adrenalin rush. Maybe not quite as deep as Mann's previous but Cruise-free. One of the best "Cinema de Look" action films ever, right up there with John Woo's Hard Boiled. A Classic.
