I just wanted to say upon reading the great reviews on this site for the
Grand 12" CD sets I went and purchased all three volumes and was very pleased. Does anyone have other suggestions on some other CD sets.

If you can find any volumes of the "Best Of 12" Gold" series they come highly recommended! They were released by UK compilation label Old Gold Records around 1989-90 and are all about 12" versions of 70s & 80s classics.
Over here they're easy to find on vinyl in 2nd hand stores but quite rare on CD.
