Tesla...the car for the next century?

Could this light the way for an all electric car in the 21st transportation? This 2-seater claims 0-60 in 4 seconds and can go 250 miles before a need to fully recharge!

Paul, the problem with all those ecological mobiles was that their design sucked big time and that a real man would not be seen in it :icon_mrgreen:

Now this is a different one. Great concept! Would I buy one??? Mmmh, maybe (if the roof is high enough).

In the mean time, I ordered this one. The replacement for my 9 year old Brabus SL. It will be delivered in October but, ssssst, don't tell the other members!

Apparently, tests are going well for the TESLA:

A test drive has shown that it's independence is now some 400 KM which is not bad for an electrical (6.800 lithium-ion-batteries) car that boosts from 0-100 in 4 seconds.

Production will be launched in 2008 (first 50, then 600) and in 2009 a Sedan is in the works which will be built in Mejico.

The only problem, this looks like a Lotus Elise which is great but not very fit for tall guys like me.

You're right though Johan, they did base the design on Lotus.
