I have this dj disco remix with this funky song
I haven't been able to identify approx 112bpm
you can listen to it here
http://www.djtopcat.com/Partydown people sample.mp3
it has the words"Partydown people get up (background singers repeat) get up... get out your seat!" It sounds like a woman almost like Gwen Mcrae to me but not sure. I doubt it's obscure the next song mixed in is SOS band-take your time do it right lol
thanks in advance :)

This is an old favourite of mine - Gwen Mcrae -Funky Sensation. Gwen has a new album out of cover versions of T.K hits incs 2 good versions of K.C hits - Keep it coming love & Please don't go.
That's "Get On Up" by JAZZY D.Originally Written by billyblackwood
major disco tuneage.
Hey I just put up a link to an mp3 you can listen to hopefully this will help. My friend Supreme says it's Little Beaver but he's not 100% sure and I don't have that record or the 45 of "partydown" to confirm . Though the more I listen to it it sounds like a Florida production like Jimmy Bo Horne or KC. I thought Jazzy D
was a techno funk artist? on Ice T's old label?
maybe a different Jazzy D hmm...
Okay I listened to Little Beaver and that wasn't it.
It was a slowed down soul tune. Does anyone have access to their Jazzy D-Get up to take a listen?
is Jazzy D really rare or something or UK only?
I honestly don't remember that back in the day :(
Ah now I remember Jazzy Dee but that's not it either nor is it "funky sensation" but it might be an older Gwen Mcrae song?? My guess is it's Florida disco soul or even something on Stax maybe? it reminds me of "dance across the floor" for some reason I'm pretty sure it's not ABBA lol

I've had a chance to listen now.
It's a little loop of the Whispers' "One For The Money" (Soul Train Records) from 76 or 77, can't remember the exact year.
Even better than Jazzy D!
The Whispers "One for the money" is 100% correct. That next instrumental is Barbara Mason's "Another man." Good mix!!!
Awesome you guys are right on the money ha
that Whispers track is nice I gotta find the 12" :)
