Look for any Firefly stuff. Their "Love (is gonna be on your side)" is a classic.
In the 80's there were quite a few disco records out of Europe, quite often Italy that were clearly influenced by American groups like Chic. I really loved this general sound it just had a slightly different twist.Below is a list of stuff that I mean.
1. All the Petrus/Malavasi stuff (Yes I know they were often American vocalled)
2. Chocolate City-Orlando Johnson
3. Kano-Can't hold back
4. Jimmy Ross- First true love affair
5. Try it out-Gino Soccio
6. Music of life- Cerrone
7. Take me to the top-Advance
Those who know these tracks will get what I mean. What I would love to know are any others in a similar vein? No Moroder type stuff please, I love it but it's not what I mean.
Thanks
I'm sur I can count on you Guys

It don't mean a thing (if ain't got that swing)
Oh well!! guess I've got to keep looking.
Thanks for the Firefly though, I had forgotten about that track and possibly did not know they were European.
Delegation - Heartache #9 is definitely Chicish.
"Hideki Disco Special" by Hideki is actually Japanese in origin but very euro-ish/chic-ish. Japanese disco is often overlooked but give this track a listen should you come across it, as it kicks off with a direct steal from Le Freak and developes into a strange brew made of ott mor singing and snappy hi-hat rhythms.
Here's some more euro-chicish disco from Italy
GAME - Gotta take your Love
RAINBOW TEAM - Bit the apple
AGO - You make me do it
AGO - For you
STEPHANY - Shame
SELECTION - Ride the Beam
ORLANDO JOHNSON - Turn on the Music
ORLANDO JOHNSON - Somebody same me
JIMMY ROSS - Fall into a trance
JIMMY ROSS - S.O.S. of love
