I'm a big fan of this album, and I'm looking for it on vinyl right now;)
And this is even one of my all time faves:

Any other fans of this? I dunno how I ended up with it but I have the Canadian Unidisc CD reissue of the album including the 12" of Love Attack. I'm a sucker for orchestral disco concept albums. Yet there seems to be very little info on Ferrar or this album--was it a hit? What label was it on? Did he do anything else?

Both "Wuthering Heights" (Vol 2 #9) and "love attack" (Vol 2 #12)were remixed and released by Disconet, I always used this Valapucci re-mix of "Love Attack" that worked very well in 'oldies' sets for years, I could swear that Ferrara was associated with another project in those days, but can't remember..
If it's the same person then it's with Charanga 76 as a mixer...Originally Written by Mixmachine

Eric, one of the BVs on "Wuthering Heights" is Angie Bofill...you can hear her pretty well throughout the track.

Yeah, Bernie, Charanga 76, :p but the other one is by 'Lectric Funk with the heavy techno sound, I used to love this one, and it was also famous at the time because of the intro's 1-1-2-2 3-3-4-4 that was used in some bootleg mixes, the original was released on a colorful Blockbuster Record's Label and sleeve out of NYC.
Thanks guys--Love Attack is indeed a classic. Wuthering Heights is ok but to me sounds a bit like a subpar attempt to pulla Costandinos. Maybe I should give it more listens
i can do without both tracks.

The word evokes not just a type of music or a kind of dance or even a style of dress.It\'s also a new social order of black and white, gay and straight, rich and poor, all hot, sweaty and, most likely, high, together.
Both tracks got good reaction in NYC, but the Valapucci remix of "Love Attack" was, as stated by MixMachine, the version to play.

The 'Mi Amore' by Desiree track was featured on that clip of disco producers from 1978/9 which was put on here a few months ago with John Ferrara actually mixing it in the studio & it also showed Rinder & Lewis in a meeting with a record boss. I can't find it; anyone remember the one?
...ya gotta beat the street......
Thanks Tom, for the post and link. I probably saw this feature but didn't meet any of the personalities till years later. John Ferrara brought me some nice demos my first month working at Profile and dropped an unforgettable one liner when I started digging his song "Nice and Easy." He said, "Sounds like money?" I had his tracks remixed in a knee-jerk reflex, and now wish I'd had them released just as is. I think John's a talented, smart man. I still like "Shake it Baby Love."
