Disco songs generally utilize a lot of violins, for example ''Poinciana'' by Paradise Express, so we have a glamourous disco song.
Some disco songs utilize probably 1 violinist only. I risk some examples:
''Call Me'' by Andrea True Connection
''The Grand Tour'' by Grand Tour
''Coming to your heart/good loving'' by USA-European Connection
:-)

There are 2 artists who played the violin and would thus be featured soloist on their songs. Noel Pointer got his start in jazz on Bluenote label and recorded right up until 1993. Some of his stuff later in the 70's could be considered disco. Miles Jaye was a soul singer in the late 1980's who did do some dance tracks that featured just his violin. These artists are not strickly disco but are worth looking into if you like this style.
Another artist but one who is a strickly jazz violinist is Regina Carter who started recording about 10 years ago.
