Sexiest Disco Artist

I know someone is going to tell me that they either weaved this thread before or thought of doing it...but hey....

My vote for sexiest disco artist is
(K.C.) H. Wayne Casey of the Sunshine Band....to me no one was cuter....just being one shirt button away from making me lose control....O.K. O.K., I was a kid then myself....ahem!
I was also nuts about Don Ray...having met him several times, he was short on the English language, but who cares, he was long where it counts.....(in charm, I mean).....Archie Bell had the perfect posterior and Gino Soccio a lost innocence....maybe he was just lost, being new to this country?

Donna Summer gets my female nod for beauty, talent and sex appeal all rolled into one without being trashy, followed by Madleen Kane whom I interviewed while she was wearing nothing but a very large bath towel...

Back in the days, I used to luuuuvvvvvvv Foster Sylvers then again I was 10 yrs old. I thought that the indian from the Village People (Felipe Rose) was soooooooooo seexxxxxxxxxxyyyyy!!!!! I had a BIG crush on him.

Well, I haven't given this much thought--BUT. off the top of my head...

Female: MISS DIANA ROSS

I loved Donna, BUT look at the LP covers that Miss Ross graced in the 1970's. Especially the Skrebneski covers for "Diana Ross" (1976) and "Baby It's Me (1977), the Douglas Kirkland cover for "The Boss" and the Scavullo cover for the Chic-produced "Diana". This is one gorgeous woman. Having been close enough to "Reach out and Touch" Miss Ross in Tahoe, I can testify that, in person she was stunning, also.

Male: DENNIS PARKER

Hey, he was a porn star!!! Need I say more?
He may not have had an illustrious singing career-BUT he personified "SEX" at the time to me. Having seen a porno of his a few years ago--I'd say he more than fulfilled the fantasy on celluloid that he promised on that LP cover. Pretty damn hot.

Now, I'll give an honorable mention to behind the scenes studio artist TOM MOULTON--who was once a model for Marlboro Man ads and was devastatingly handsome in the photos I've seen of him. Sometimes he reminds me of a young Clark Gable. Never saw him in person, though--BUT the TALENT would have been enough to make me swoon, even if he only looked average, up close and personal.

Hmmm. Teena and Linda Clifford and Donna are sexy but...I'll choose the female singer for Machine. I don't remember her name but she looked good and was lucky enough to dance with her.

Yes...behind the scenes....and I stress behind....Tom Moulton was indeed a STUNNER...having met and interviewed him in his apartment (living room only) back in '77, he was totally captivating and sexy without even trying. Add to that his prowess as a MixMaster (remember when they used to use that word a lot?) and you got your American Idol for the century....Also, ditto on others choices of people I have been up close and personal with: Linda Clifford, Carol Williams, Diana Ross, and David Hodo and Randy Jones of the Village People. Thanks for the reminder on Goings, he was Hot Hot Hot as well....!!! Where is he today, does anybody know?

) Dennis Parker and Tom Moulton too. Seems pretty apparent that we gay guys "of a certain age" have a thing for the "clone" look.

In their day (and mine, I guess :sad: ) I thought Village People construction worker David Hodo was hot; I think the sunglasses did the trick. But years later I noticed how thin he was--I mean, for a construction worker, this guy had no biceps at all!

Of course, Glenn Hughes' big 'stache gets a woof too.

As for the women, I'm surprised no one has mentioned France Joli. She was a beautiful young thing and promoted heavily as a nymphet.

No one loves Donna Summer more than me, but there are some less-than-flattering photos of her out there. She's one of those people who needs to be photographed with care. (Kind of like Steve Kelso--and I can hear the straight guys saying "Who?!" :lol: )

And I can vouch that Linda Clifford is still as lovely as ever. Shorter than I expected (again, like Steve Kelso!) and maybe... "fuller-figured" than before, but the brightest eyes, the clearest skin, the warmest smile. What a charming lady!

Donna is an exotic beauty too. I also think the girls from Silver Convetion as well as the Baccara ones are so sexy.

And from the Italo disco scene the girls from Fun Fun have my vote. Italian bellas :razz:

Cristina. This Ze label femme fatale delivered her subversive and alternative ideas wrapped in the slickest and sheerest of skimpy costumes looking dangerous, unpredictable and incredibly sexy. Black Leatherette Grace Jones was another hot dangerous one, as was Amanda Lear - those legs! And they're still as gorgeous as they ever were. Grace doesn't look bad these days, either. The Baccara girls were ravishingly slithe and sleek in their silky outfits and the fact that neither of them could speak any English would have made intimate meetings all the more alluring - body language only! Ann-Margaret purred magnificently didn't she and we all love redheads. As for todays disco dollies, Kylie is the tops of course - her image at London's Madame Tussaud's wax museum has been pawed to the point they're going to have repair it after just one month of exhibition!

BTW, I don't beleive that the girls in the cover of many Disco records are THE SAME girls who are actually singing... It's an old gimmick to pick a girl with a good voice on the studio and to pick a model for the cover of the record and for the video. Anyway...
