Something that's bugged me for years.
So far as I remember Good Times - Chic was 112-113 bpm on American 12" release, but was sped up to 118 bpm for British 12".
Just out of interest, what was the bpm of the 12" release in your country? Did it follow the U.S or Dear Ol' Blighty?

20 visits and no replies. Hmmm
Either all visitors have been American or British, or don't know what a bpm is or what - you tell me. I really would be interested to know whether we brits were the only ones to dance to a different beat on such a major Disco record release.
From a personal point of view, the speeded up version sounds such a better groove than the original, but hey I'm white and English. So perhaps Fred Dove (WEA's dance guru at the time) got it right (I guess it was him who made it happen).

I have the 12" version on cd and it clocks in around 112 I believe.

I always had a problem trying to mix in another song at the first break because the beats fluctuate.
