Around 1983 or so, stations like WPLJ and Z-100 used to play this clubby tune that had a conversation in the middle that went something like this:

So, what's your name?
Uhhh...Eugene.

We did this before but I don't know where the post is...I know my copy was on a Disconet..

Actually, it's just called "Eugene" by Crazy Joe & the Variable Speed Band - 1981 Casablanca

I'd been looking for this song since KTU in NY was playing it BITD

It was years before I even found out who made it, lol. Found the LP probably about a year ago.....;)

"Eugene Goes To School" musta been the Part 2 or 3 or whatever...cuz that's what the title is on the Disconet...sort like the Ma & Pa Kettle, Francis The Talking Mule, Gidget or Earnest series, I guess...:razz:

well if it's on a disconet I assume (forgive me Benny Hill....)that's it's an extended long track,a remix/re-edit? they probably renamed it for that, the original is only 4:12:-?
I don't know for certain, but I'm relatively convinced, that was this groups's only LP, lol.
