I thought I had most of their stuff, but half of these songs I dont even have. Its pretty cheap, so you guys might want a copy, too.

I agree with you, for that price you can't beat what you get![]()
My only gripes with the CD are the edited versions of Cocomotion & Mondo Disco.....I likes my FULL versions![]()

In my opinion, it is better to have this CD than to have nothing.Originally Written by discorecordplayer
But (unfairly) like the majority of disco artists, it is a shame that you can't find the official "carrear" albums on CD.
Even better is to buy EL COCO's 3rd LP, LET'S GET IT TOGETHER - 1976, recently released on CD by PVine, only in Japan.
Let's support it, guys.
On the other hand, anyone familiar with "classic rock bands" can confirm that we are flooded by albums released for the nth time by led zeppelin, black sabbath, marillion, deep purple, nazareth, yes, u2, king crimson, red hot chillippepers, nirvana, fleetwood mac, pink floyd, genesis, etc...
In the early 90's, their albums were released "normally" in the first place.
And then remastered.
Then re-released with bonus left-over tracks.
Then remastered to 24 bit.
Then re-released with new bonus tracks (run-through studio outtakes).
Then re-released in digi-pack versions.
Then remastered to HDCD.
Then re-released in miniature LP paper sleeves.
Then re-released as a double package with an extra CD with "Demo Versions along with b-sides, alternate takes, live versions, etc....)
Then again with new found alternate outtakes...
... and this fannatic proceedure goes on and on and on...
Now..., I wish this could have happened to all disco stars albums.......
.....But really, I would just be glad to have the "official" releases on CD available.

I bought the greatest disco hits CD. Its pretty cool. The price was literally $1.74 or something like that. If you click on "new and used" you can buy the CDs from other companies selling through Amazon. Woth shippig, I probably paid about 5 or 6 bucks total, but thats still pretty good. I now have a coll song called "Afrodesia" and I like it. The Mondo Disco song is actually longer in this version than the one I had on vinyl. Before buying this Cd, the only copy of Mondo Dico that I had was on a AVI compilation called hot disco nights vol 2, record with a purple cover and artists rendering on a dancing couple. This Cd I bought has the longer version. Are you saying that there is even a longer version? Wow, I ve got to get that. I guess theres a big 12" version. I have the big 12" version of dancing in paradise. I also have the 12" version of Love exciter. And of course, I have the Cocomotion album, Still, im glad I got the CD.
Mondo Disco was around 6 minutes on the LP, but the CD has a 4min50sec version. A great track.
Most of the 12" versions of the El Coco tracks were extended or remixed. It would be nice if the CD reissues could include them because they do sound different.
