    Which song is this?

Its a disco song from the 80's. And i havent heard it for long time. They were singing like this, "Are you ready, are you ready to go,are you ready." And it goes quite fast. I use to dance to it long time ago. Would be happy if someone know the name of the song or the group.

Wow!! What a great song!! I knew it at the time it was released, but only tried finding it several years later. Of course, I no longer knew the title (although quite easy), nor the singer. I tried looking in the Wang Chung direction, then gave up. I'm glad someone revived that memory. Next step is getting the 12" single, and/or the LP, "City Limit". Anyone know if the LP is any good? Thanks, KoolChris

yea its fantastic. I like the guitars and and the drumbeat. I use to dance to that song when i was 15 years old,in schooldisco. I was at 1984. Maybe it was already some years that time.

When you start looking for this track make sure you get the 12" version which is very different from the LP version.

The 12" has a very "prominent" drum and bass arrangement, and includes a great break. The 12" has no credits for who did the remix on my GTO Records (GT12.259 ) release. There is also no run time but my guess is it runs for about 7 minutes.

The album version sounds much less powerful and runs only for 4:27. The album name is "Nights (feel like getting down)" which is another nice track that also made it onto a single, as did "Another day won't matter" which is a kind of smooth song (similar style as "Rock with you"). The final single from this album was "Stay the night".

The album is very good, and was re-released on CD in Japan in 2002 on Epic/Sony Music Japan (ESCA 7880).

    A little more info ---

The lp that "aleks..." mentioned, City Limits, was released in Canada (Epic/GTO) in 1980. It has many of the same songs contained on Nights..., the 1981 US release, but in their full-length. "Are You Ready" runs 6:52 and "Stay The Night" runs 6:36 on City Limitsopposed to 4:26 and 3:11, respectively, on the Nights... lp.

Thanks for these precisions, NickNack. I was getting confused with the 2-available-lps-to-choose-from situation. Would the City Limits version be the same as the 12" version?

Is this available on compilation anywhere?

Only my 12" copy is practically unplayable now.
