I don't think so, but he sure ain't the brightest superhero. You simply don't wear your swimming trunks in that way!

Superman might not be gay, but Lex Luther is.![]()
Great comeback about Lex/Kevin, NRG! (The film's director Bryan Singer is gay too, ya know.)
I seem to remember reading that someone somewhere suggested that Jimmy Olsen might be gay, so I guess that's where this "gay Superman" BS started. Or maybe it resulted from the (very juvenile) comments about the size of Superman's bulge. Come on, people: If a guy wears Spandex shorts, there's gonna be a bulge. Get over it.
So, has anyone else seen the movie yet? I saw it today and enjoyed it a lot. Superman does a few things that bugged me because they seem out of character, and the whole business of a Super Offspring could lead to some really sucky sequels. But the scenes of Superman flying are breathtaking, like an Alex Ross painting come to life. (Any other comics geeks reading this will know who Alex Ross is. ;-) )

Jeff, I went to see it - in Imax 3D yet! I didn't have a problem with Brandon Routh seemingly flying into the audience and into your laps. ;-)
I wonder if Miss Spacey was disappointed that he didn't have more screen time with Brandon? Although he did get to do the scene where he kinda gets to "hug" Brandon - how many times did Kevin insist on reshooting that scene???
But seriously, I liked the movie ALOT!! I felt the film had the serious epic feel of the first hour of Richard Donner's "Superman" movie. In fact, I actually got a little teary eyed during a few scenes!
