    Notes
Olivia Newton John, who has five US chart toppers, was born in the United Kingdom but moved to Australia at the age of five. Despite moving back to the UK, and later the US, she still considers herself very much Australian.
↑ Linda McCartney was an American. It is unknown whether she chose to become British national too.
↑ The Bee Gees were born in the United Kingdom, but moved to Australia in their childhood and resided there for about ten years before moving back to the UK.
↑ Andy Gibb is the brother of the Bee Gees, same upbringing occurs with him.
↑ Graham Russell of Air Supply is British, Russell Hitchcock is Australian.
↑ Paul McCartney is British, Stevie Wonder is American
↑ Joe Cocker is British, Jennifer Warnes is American
↑ The Police were Britons Sting and Andy Summers, and American Stewart Copeland.
↑ Paul McCartney is British, Michael Jackson is American.
↑ Phil Colins is British, Marilyn Martin is American.
↑ Dionne and Friends are Americans Dionne Warwick, Steve Wonder, Gladys Knight and Briton Elton John.
↑ George Michael is British, Aretha Franklin is American.
↑ Rod Stewart and Sting are British, Bryan Adams is Canadian.

Re: SURVIVAL GAME: British Songs that conquered US Charts

This is such a fantastic list of classics that pulling any but a few is difficult. Again, with the current, pathetic schlock of music releases that we see nowadays, most of the titles below shine even more brilliantly.

It's also interesting that by the '90s, the British acts weren't hitting American charts as they did previously....likely because American labels weren't interested in promoting British and European acts as before.

This one can go (no-brainer)....153) WannabeSpice Girls
and this....19)I'm Henry VIII, I Am Herman's Hermits (it's just a classic when you're drunk)

Hey i'm feeling glad all over ( is that on the list? ...zapp time !!!) today ....so what the heck ... Do you remember a club that opened briefly up the street from OIL CAN's ...an old theatre . There was an old guy that used to come in there .... and tap dance !! ( It was wieird cause you could hear his shoes going at 200 BPMs !!!!)

Disco nurse : A guy used to dress to the tee in a nurse's uniform sparkling white shoes, blouse ..white stockings ....skirt ... and pointy hat . Pure bright white . I saw him off and on in SF ...but it was really trippy when one time while down in LA .... at Studio One .....no mistaking it ... there he was !!
