After her successes and scenes scandaleuses the Diva is now storming into Finland with 4 gigs of "DiscoQueer - a glamorous overdose of Disco hysteria", commencing July the 12. Look out for flyers and posters with the image of Karen Silver dressed in hot leather and coolly staring at you in the face like " too tough for you?"

aicha is great (we played together in London/Paris), nice uptempo underground disco with enough strings and orchestration to make you shake your ass, even without the Salmiakki :lol:

I am near Helsinki next week, its midsummer up there.

anything happening, I mean disco wise ?

apparently DTM is host(essing) a lot of Pride parties, there's a 70's disco bash on the menu as well. From what I've experienced by the people responsible it'll be the usual, meaning lots of Abba and Gloria Gaynor - you get the picture. And midsummer's a problematic time for clubbing as people here seem to run from towns to the countryside to sit in small circles by lakes, chant weirdly and overdose on Salmiakki. I'm leaving for Madrid on Sunday morning , so if you see a couple of lonely figures wandering aimlessly in a 28 Days later-style deserted city Saturday night, one of them could be me.
