Now I have this track on cassette listed as "So Cold" by Modern Man (or is it Men), but I kind of doubt that this entry is correct so let's see if someone can help me with those "Cold War era" lyrics:

Note that the beat at the very beginning of the song sounds pretty much the same as "Puting on the Ritz". with a windy sound behind heavy percussions. The (...) imply that I'm missing lyrics as the audio is kind of washed out... But there should be enough in here to help.

Borden skies
Silver plated bombers fly
Space and time drifting in (oval metal) paradise

Static smiles undetected children's cries
No way of changing the iron absence of their eyes

Star war scenes, leaders plotting desperate schemes
(...)

I'm so cold
So cold
So cold
So cold

(...)

World gone mad, soldiers fight the peaceful war
Desolate places what is all this fighting for...

I'm so cold
So cold
So Cold
So Cold

Single white dove
Sails the dark skies above
As I attempt the dawning of a new day
Gone the nightmare, gone the fear and despair
They're held forever captive here in this song

...mixed with "Lovers Over All" by Aztec Camera

Thank you!
