06/06/06-couldnt resist. CJ&co DEVIL'S GUN and John Davis Monster Orchestra UP JUMPED THE DEVIL 12" mix. To tell you the truth, I wasnt really a very big fan of either one, I liked AINT THAT ENOUGH FOR YOU better from JD Monster, but they were substantual, and some of the disco audiences bought into it. Fe, Fi, Fo, Fum. . .we're looking down the barrel of the devil's gun. . . nowhere to run! (Sheez). Robert. see attachments.
disc jockey from the mid 70s to late 80s, and got free booze for it.
Devil's Gun must have one of the strangest pedigrees of the Disco period, written as it was by some Brits who were better known for neo glitz pop toons, but it was absolutely one of the best ever slabs of Disco music. I remember the first time I heard it. It was a jaw dropping experience and an instant feeling of "I must play this tonight/can't wait to play this tonight".
So, does anyone knows the inside scoop as to why they dropped Jane Fonda from the US Album release ???, Copyrights??
why did they use her image from “Barbarella" in the German cover in the first place???
Was it because of the movie’s plot? but this movie was released in '68.
I haven’t seen this movie entirely, and don’t remember what was it about other than IMDB summations. By the way, they have a more sexy picture of her listed there obviously from the same shoot..:p

I took more of a liking to Mike Theodore Orchestra COSMIC WIND album, and even Space with MAGIC FLY. Come to think of it, Kebekelektrik"s version of WAR DANCE and MAGIC FLY also. For some reason, I was taken by disco that presented itself with a star galaxy type journey.
A lot of disco touched on this like Cerrone's TRIPPIN ON THE MOON, Patrick Cowley's MEGATRON MAN, and even Sylvester's STARS. Those kinds of disco hits always had the power to wow me! Robert.
