Miss Odia Coates charted with one tune (so far) on the Disco charts in 1975 with something called "SHOWDOWN" (typed as "Sundown" in Billboard!!!)...dont know it.....;-)
As much as I like Paul Anka pop songs from the 70's, I primarily listen to them so I can hear the WONDERFUL voice of Odia Coates (as background singer???)...I also LOVE their "Make It Up To Me In Love" disco single...was MIUTM played in the discos of the day? I can't say I've ever heard it in that setting... Anyways: did Odia have any kind of R&B/Disco offerings? I used to come across an LP of hers with a black cover in the used bins but regrettably never picked one up; haven't seen one in a while... Any other background work I should hunt down? Thanks!

"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Here's a clip of another Odia Coates song "That's The Way The Cookie Crumbles" that has a disco flavor to it.
