I caught a bit of the PBS disco special. Kind of fun to see some of our heroes (and nerds: Frankie Valli, Leo Sayer!) of back then are capable of doing their stuff now.
I was impressed with Wild Cherry (well it was just the lead singer I think). And I was totally impressed with A Taste Of Honey. Boy, those girls can hurt a bass/guitar respectively.
But the lack of disco stompers, and abundance of a lot of "same old same old" made me go back to good old vinyl. And not that it matters to anyone, but here is what I am torturing my ears with (i.e. play it LOUD!):
Vivian Vee - Give me a break
Tamara - Everybody love's a dancer/Same time same place
The Jeffrey Lake Group - Stark naked
The Ritchie Family - Put your feet to the beat
The Three Degrees - Set me free
Abbe - You make it hard to love you
Nightforce - Dance
Al Hudson & The Partners - Happy feet
Martin Circus - Ite missa est
Now if I only had two turntables... these tracks almost all mix into eachother effortlessly :-/
