ID 2 Disco songs from Joey Negro

What are the two songs playing on Joey Negro's page??

    http://www.joeynegro.com

Where the music player is, it should say view playlist, click on it and scroll down to Joey's Disco Mix - Part 1 and Joey's Disco Mix - Part 3. Those are the two tracks i'm looking for. If you click on either one a song should pop up. Thanks so much for any advice.

Part 1 sounds sort of like Gladys Knight, but its not her. The only thing I can tell you for sure is that its a west coast production because the drummer is James Gadson (I can tell from the sound of his drumming).

I didn't see a Part 3. There was a Part 2, which I can't ID. If someone knows that one, I'd like to find out.

The song in the part 1 mix is the Walter Gibbons remix of "It's a better than good time" by Gladys Knight & the Pips (CDN Buddah 12'' 1979).
The song in the part 3 mix is "That's hot" by Jessee Gee (Nugget 12" 1981), a track by Billy Nichols that uses the same groove of Jesse Gould's "Out of work" (maybe it's the same person singing)

Thanks so much Giovanni. Track 2 is Sonny Jenkins and the New York Potpourri Strings - That Friday Pay (Part 1) found on the Kings of Disco Compilation (CD 2 - Joey Negro).

yes it is a rare record, but not so rare! Many collectors are hunting down everything by the P&P roster and associated labels and so the prices are going high. By the way, I paid half a dollar for my copy some years ago......
