    Morrisson's Gloria by Midnite Stud

Here is what I consider the best Discofied version of a Morrison/Door’s song only recently re-discovered in my stash, I used to play this over and over (in my system) when it first came out because it is so short, cutting only at 2:50 , at 136 BPM it is up there in the high energy realm, one reason why I don’t remember this one doing much dance floor damage at the time, well, in my area anyways.

Anyone ever heard or liked this version ? How did it do in Canada/Europe? Did it ever chart anywhere? This copy is from Canada, but it was also released in the Carrere label.

Excellent label ! Was the song hardcore disco ?? I ask because why would anyone by 1977 release a disco song 2:50 in length ?

Don't know this version by .......the Midnite Stud :o :p:roll:  ....... yet

I've always liked GLORIA by Santa Esmeralda though ....one of their best I think .... but not quite right for the dancefloor ... this is one I played for myself , outside the club...... love its passionate vocals ....and hard hitting incessant guitar work .

Always liked the vocoder voice and the way the girls repeat the initials slowly and then very fast: g..l..o..r..i..a...-G-L-O-R-I-A!!! Great as the record is I think it must have been just one of a thousand hopefuls, never heard it get a single spin anywhere. The flip ain't bad either.
