Please help me to identify this track from the movie 'Educating Rita' (with Michael Caine...).
http://www.outlab.net/audio/rita.mp3
what I do know is:
The disco sequence shot was taken at Flamingo, Parkes Hotel, Stillorgan, Dublin.
It's unknown by composer of the soundtrack: David Hentschel; I asked him.
I think it sounds a bit as The Men (aka Human League), but no Human League fan recognized it so far.
Thx!

Sorry, I don't know the track. The vocals sound like they are saying 'love of mine'. Maybe that will help jog someone's memory.
Disco Funk
Hi there, right... It's the same story as "Drum Dream" By E.L.O which was the disco track in Xanadu. It was never on the soundtrack but was released as a B side of a 7". Anyway It's called I Can't Dance by David Hentschel. and you can find it on the B side of Educating Rita (7" Single)
Thank you so much lenstar!!!!!! :icon_lol:
After all these years I gave up hope to find this beauty.
Typical David Hentschel didn't recognize it :icon_rolleyes:

If you buy this record your life, will be better.
yeah, very well done!
It feels so good to hear it longer than the short sample I had. Must have listened that a thousand times :)
It is cool to know that others have been researching this snippet of music - the first time I saw the film, the music was a must have. That was back in 1983 - now in 2007, thanks to you guys I was able to identify it and find it on GEMM - the 7" single was short, but so darn worth the search.
I loved Restructuring this song! The build of the keyboards and the great chants are incredible. It is almost like a religious experience. I can remember at the time thinking it was something like the second Sphinx LP from Italy (nothing to do with Alec R. Costandinos' project) - sounded so much like an Italian dance single. Or Kano.
Thanks to Lentar and also Paul Morsch for sending me the link to the answer!
I love this track - Hentschel created an incredible piece of dance music for a simple scene.
Take care and good energy.
