did you hear: Madonna is doing Donna Summer's

"I Feel Love" on her current tour. Has anyone seen or heard this performance? I guess it will eventually be released on some concert DVD but I was just wondering if anyone had checked out her show and had comments....No way will I pay $150 and put up with 10, 000 screaming teenyboppers to hear that one song...

Yes, I heard it! Madonna's newest marketing stunt. Do U remember how a few years ago Miss Fake was telling everybody that the shameless nude posing Erotica-girl was another person and that she had gone spiritual :-)

And who has posed in SM-outfits and with her boobies naked in a stable, worshipping horses, very recently for a magazine. Yep, Miss Fake. And people still buy her B-**** :-)

Madonna was, is and never will be D.I.S.C.O. When she started she told everybody that she hated the Disco-stuff.

    ....And people still buy her B-**** :-) :-) :-)

When her "Confessions On A Dance Floor" album came out, the media told everyone that she had brought disco back from the grave. What-evah....

P.S.--Her crucifix stunt recently is proof positive that those who preach about tolerance and respect ought to be doing it themselves. Madonna is so old...

Re: did you hear: Madonna is doing Donna Summer's

Madonna spins the disco ball twice apparently--"I Feel Love" is the second number and then later a loop of the Trammps' "Disco Inferno" is teased as she does "Music"---so says Variety's review.

Absolutely! It's a disgrace! I've become spiritual now. I've stopped posing naked

Barry Walters just pointed out to me the resemblance between Madonna's Confessions look...

    and...

Amanda Lear! Check out the photo to the right!!

BTW, bootleg DVDs are now available from Madge's Confessions shows in Los Angeles and Fresno, CA. Her merging of "Music" with "Disco Inferno" is pretty catchy!

Re: did you hear: Madonna is doing Donna Summer's

I went to San Francisco to see her. Disco or not disco (and I don't really classify any post 80s dance music as disco) I am a fan and love the last album. Madonna always goes from one extreme to the other and makes no qualms abotu that--you can complain about it or just shrug.

The show for the record was amazing--after having a few spectacular but self serious tours this one was nearly all dancing, and having funwith the crucifix the only really serious moment. The last 20 minutes which was disco themed was one of the funnest moments I've ever had at a concert.

And her version of I Feel Love (which starts as a mashup with her opening song--Future Lovers which was influenced by Moroder anyway and then goes to the full version) is actually pretty damn good. (Donna's my all time fave artist so...)

Unhappy Re: did you hear: Madonna is doing Donna Summer's

I am disappointed that some of the comments posted on this thread are simply nasty. They are not statements that commend or critique to stimulate intelligent discussion. They are comments that demonstrate intolerance. How disappointing.

An artist's work or behavior may not resonate with you and may therefore be of no merit to you, but that doesn't make it "b-****." It is that kind of intolerance that led to the burning of disco records in Chicago. Remember?

Well, regardless of what one thinks personally of Madonna or Mariah, they at LEAST have both acknowledged classic disco (Carey included "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life" in her "Glitter" bomb) and Madonna and Beyonce referencing Donna Summer's work has the potential to bring classic disco some real attention, but I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not....
