Shirley Murdock - class act

I have been a long time fan of Shirley Murdock ! Her debut album in 85 was one of the crowning moments of that year and I still play it today... Tracks such as "As we lay" & "the one I need" are gems... Th dance track "Truth or Dare" was a big hit here in the UK and i remember seeing Shirley perform it on the UK show SOLID SOUL.
Does anyone know if Shirley is still singing/recording ?

Yes she had another Lp in the 80's and one in 1991. She released a gospel album about 2 or 3 years ago. In June of 2001, Rhino issued a Greatest hits by her covering her Elektra years and they even included a few bonus remixes and liner notes. She also recorded background vocals and made guest appearances especially on Zapp related releases.

It sounds like she is still active in the industry... I will have to keep an eye out for her "greatest hits" CD.... Thanks for the information.
