Yes, we're gonna have the infamous Eurovision Song Contest in a few weeks. The ultimate celebration of Kitsch 'n Camp!

We're all going to laugh O A off with revelations like: "Koodevnink Athens, here are ze results of ze French joerie" "Kalispera France, you looking much good tonighte, maye we havva your pointse pleez".

But...horror has surrounded the Croatian entry!!!!!

Their contestant Severina Vuckovic is in big trouble after it was discovered that there's an xxx-hometape of her banging da boyfriend and it's all over the net!! Oow, filth!

The real painful thing: Severina was a symbol of virtue and now she is banned from the contest! Terrible!

Another example why we Europeans justifiably consider our culture of being far more refined than any other continent's. The delightful miss Selena Vucovic may sadly end up being banned but will join the legendary ranks of Vladimir Luxuria ( a transexual member of the Italian parliament in the tradition of la Cicciolina/Ilona Staller, in headlines again due to confusion which toilet she should use ), Dana International, Mr and Mrs Elton John and Donatella Versace, immortal style icons all.

"La Finlande...nul points" - bound to happen again as we have chosen as our entry The Lord, a trashy bubblegum metal troupe in full monster makeup. Please Lord, at least offend as many viewers as inhumanly possible.

Eurovision - the must see TV event of the year. I haven't missed one in 20 years. The basis of voting is generally on political lines, so the Greeks never vote for the Turks, Serbia always gives Russia douze points, and the Scandinavians vote for each other. Everyone always feels sorry for the Irish, so they do well and the last time the British won it was with an American singer - but since the Gulf Wars we don't get a look in (despite a wardrobe malfunction last year :o ) Our show is hosted by a veteran DJ called Terry Wogan who starts sober and then gets progressively drunk and gets ruder and makes the most sarcastic comments. The music is atrocious and it is the funniest thing seeing people taking it soo seriously. It's absolutely classic TV - can't wait!!
