HI, does anyone have any information on this great soul track at all? Is it a bit of a rarity, as I can't seem to find any info on it. I know it's available on a compilation cd, but just wondered if anyone has any release info etc.
Thanks a million :)
Andy....I can't tell you much about the single itself but I do have Ruby's album which was released in 1981 through Malaco Records on what must have been one of their smaller labels called Orient Records. I Thought I Would Never Find Love is the first cut clocking in at 4:52.
I quite like the entire album. There's one other dance cut called The Feelin's Still There which is hands down disco with a nice break to boot! The rest of the cuts are ballads. I find that Ruby's voice is very similar to Etta James. Doing an online search, she is/was a blues singer in Memphis and was nicknamed the Queen of Beale Street.
