There's a rustic yet extremely classy restaurant up in the hill off the town of Capri that specializes in lemon sauces, and upon request, they readily admitted that Tom is a frequent visitor, his walled villa being in the vicinity. It's easy to spot, just below the restaurant down the hill towards the sea. They also told that at first when he came to dinner he insisted all the other customers were to be thrown out, mid dinner. The management declined and always treated the scientologist and his entourage of dapper young gentlemen, never a lady with them, just like everyone else. And did you hear about the one about him and his ex-wife: "according to a rumour" she got paid 6 million dollars - not that much by the usual standards but at that time she was all but broke - and a promise of a career should she agree to stay married to Tom for that number of years, to complete a picture of an increrasingly marketable product that Cruise was. And she did. Living with him turned out to be sheer hell for her, and f.ex. when the couple wanted their house interiors painted, N sent a notice to the company employing the workers that they must turn and face the wall whenever the lady of the house walked by. When they didn't she stood there screaming her head off. - Clever, totally ruthless to closeted poofs and good at their job, the often gay journos paid to interview the couple took sadistic pleasure in poking at Tom where it hurted, ever so slightly yet with diabolical precision. The star naturally complained to the studio heads, to no avail. And it's still going on, with apparently some real dirt about to fly. Stay tuned.
