need help identifing a club classic

the year 1980..strikly played in the clubs..at least in ny it was.........
the chorus go...dance to the music,dance,dance to the muusic..it's about 120 to 123 bpms has some don ray like synths in it .this one got away from me ...all my dj friends never even heard of it....and they call themselves dj's..........one guy sang the song word for word ..but cldn't remember song or artist...any help wld be apreciated

well there is "Dance to the music" from "Sly Stone"
or maybe this one from Junior Byron - Dance to the music

but the bpm is faster than 123 and more Giorgo with a faster beat

Hi,

Just a rough guess on Isaac Hayes-I ain't never, released 1980. Isaac does the verse and a female chorus sings "dance to the music, we'll make love to the music".

hey dynasty........havent heard it on amazon ( no audio clip) however i'm more than certain that thats the song ...i do remember the girl's on the backgroud saying " i wannna take you there now" i've been searching for so long...thanks sooo much
