PS I do know about "This is My Life" ,"Light My Fire" by Bassey as non-Bond related disco tunes. I will check those out for sure...
I know the Shirley Bassey songs ALMOST have a disco edge to them (Diamonds are Forever, Goldfinger, Moonraker) and was curious if anyone ever remixed these for the floor during that time. I know they later remixed some of these a few years back in a modern way, but was curious if anyone had seen anything definitely disco-themed. :-?

Hi,
It's funny you brought up this topic, because I was thinking of discussing Shirley Bassey's version of Moonraker.
I have always loved this song. In the begining of the film, it is a ballad. In the end, it is a disco version.
I just bought the CD for Moonraker a few weeks ago, just to get that disco version.
Here it is:

I am going to cut it up and re-edit it to make a longer version.
I have always felt it was a great disco song that needed to be extended and released. But I have never seen any other version. (Outside the Shirley Bassey Remix album.)
I also like Tina Turner's Goldeneye and the mixes for that.
Thanks! I swore there was at least a disco version of Moonraker and I'm glad you confirmed it. Thanks for the upload!!
There is another disco-ish song in The Spy Who Loved Me.
It is called Bond 77 (James Bond Theme).
I used to have the lp and it is available on CD.
It is the usual James Bond Theme found in many of the movies. But this version is, as I said, disco-ish.
Here is a link to Amazon.com to listen to a sample.

NICE! Thanks for the info. My local shop (which also does online) seems to carry that title pretty cheaply too http://www.secondspin.com/music/prod....jsp?id=771362. Might have to snag it for that price.

Don't forget her 'Copacabana'. Hot!
There was an album that came out in 1997 that had all covers of Bond themes. Can't quite remember if any were dance tinged.
The Biddu Orchestra with his rather rare: "James Bond Disco Theme"
I only discovered it myself recently
