I ran across an LP the other night and now I can't recall the exact name. Something like "Ananda Orchestra"-- some English orchestra that began with an "A"; it was from like 1975; mixed by Tom Moulton; the cuts were mostly short; some were covers of other's hits; the shortness of the cuts was one of the reasons I put it back, but the Moulton name is haunting me.

Ring a bell? Worth picking up for like $7.00?

    Marky,

As mentioned above, I would pass on this. I had bought this back in the day and everytime I tried playing it I just took it off. Eventually I just threw it away. Don't lose sleep over this one.

Geez Bernie, how many records did you throw away ? I recall you saying you got rid of D.D. Sound - Wake up in the night, I've been looking for this one for ages, still haven't found it. There are a few ones I have regretted buying, never got rid of them and eventually got into appreciating the product.

    Hi,

I don't know about you guys, but here in Brasil ARMADA ORCHESTRA's version of BAND OF GOLD (Freda Payne, where are you?) is a cult disco song. It was included on a very successful disco compilation released at the time, called NEW YORK CITY DISCOTHEQUE, one of the most cherished compilation by brazilian disco fans. ARMADA ORCHESTRA may not be my cup of tea, but for brazilian disco fans it's a classic.

Oh, don't even get me started on this one. I've thrown away many records over the years when I didn't know any better-or should I say-didn't appreciate them.

Records I've thrown away include such rarities as Sun Palace "Rude Movements" 12" and Masimotto (?) "SOS" and others. Why'd I do it?!!!

In 1979, I worked for Emergency Records in New York City which was run by Sergio Cossa and Roy B (of both Roulette Records and Roy B Records - remember Weeks and Company)....our biggest records were "Cafe," by DD Sound....Max Berlin's "World Wide Party" and Billy Moore's "Go Dance"...Not exactly Pop classics but still worthy of a couple of spins from time to time.....If anyone wants or needs any information on that record label/artist/songs - long defunct - let me know....
