He also produced a single for a group called South Side Coalition called Get Off Your Seat and Jam. It's the same song as on his own album, but I think it's a better version. It has a nice intro drum break, if you like that.

So guys,
there's a wonderful top notch rare disco song produced by legendary Tommy Stewart, the artist is called Final Approach and the title is "We like to boogie" I love this song so much.
Does anyone know if he produced something similiar along the same vein or can you recommend something that sounds alike?
I already have Tommy Stewart´s full length LP + another track produced by him, Cream de Coco.
Peace Jow

I also found that the Juggy Murray Jones 'Inside America' album, but especially the title track, had a similar raw disco sound that the Tommy Stewart album had.

Thanks I will check out Juggy Murray Jones and South Side Coalition.. I have the Sil Austin - Disco Music track , it's great.
Thank you for such a wonderful review on the Tommy Stewart project. I co-produce, and wrote 98 percent of these songs with Tommy Stewart and Bill Wright. And own the label that was reponsibile for Cream De Coco, Final Approach, Tommy and I co-produced these gems also.
To answer your question about any other music that came from our camp, the answer is I moved from Atlanta to LA and that just about ended all of Tommys and my creative partnership. SORRYPLUS WE NEVER EVER RECEIVED ANY ROYALTIES FROM THE ABRAXAS LABEL

Hey Marlin!
First of All - I am sorry for not giving you credit too in my first post, I definitely see YOUR name on the record as well.
It's really fantastic that you are posting this reply here, thanks a lot.
You cannot imagine how many times i have spinned Final Approach - 'We like to Boogie', i just get so happy whenever i hear it.
I am sorry to hear that you never received any royalities from abraxas though, and that your partnership with Tommy ended way too soon. What are you up to nowadays?

Thanks Jow
I am living in Detroit MI and still very much involved in the industry but I have been more on the business side creating deals and being an excecutive producer instead of really doing a lot of production. My wife Joyce Dozier McNichols has develope her writing and production chops and has just about taking over and is doing a wonderful job.
I am in negociation with a major independent distributor to distribute my Angel Dove Music label and there will be some new product out on that label in 2007. One of the first releases will be from R&B artist Unco Sam who last record was released on The Boz Two Men label distributed by Epic and the single(I Don't Ever Want See You Again) and album went gold. We have a couple of great club songs on the album. With over past history of coming up with some cutting edge production we have a various artist R&B music sounding gospel compilation album and just like the old Tommy Stewart and Marlin McNichols production we have local Detroit artists on this project. Jow discomusic.com have giving me such a wonderful place to discuss with all you wonderful people what I have been doing and what I am doing, and I am so excite and greatful for this forum, you can check out my website www.mtcge for more information.
"PS Tommy Stewart and Marlin McNichols may saddle up and ride one more time" stay tune.:-P
