I'm trying to find the original version of one of the Sugarhill gang songs. The song is on Dr. Dolittle's soundtrack Ain't nothin but a party, but its not the original version. I don't know what the title of the song.

Looks like the original was by The Show Stoppers in 1968. It's on the great Rhino box set "Beg, Scream & Shout: The Big Ol' Box of 60's Soul".
The Tremeloes did a cover; so did J. Geils Band. I've never seen "Dr. Doolittle", so I'm NOT sure it's the same song.
