I like Boogie Nights Paul but "Always & Forever" was killed by the radio stations. I've heard it so much that I can't STAND it.

OK folks. I've been avoiding these guys like the plague but to ignore them would be unfair. Sorry Maarten, Rose Royce will be soon as will be Brass C. for you Funky. First though, lets do Heatwave.
I'll stick with their smash hit "Boogie Nights" as might choice. I guess I can't blame them just because the radio stations killed their songs. I can still wait an eternity before I hear "Always And Forever" again.
Find them and destroy them!

I'll go with "Mind Blowing Decisions" - especially the version that slips into a reggae groove then back into the smooth soul sound...
If it moves - funk it!!
Dear Friends!
Certainly I´m into "Boogie Nights" because
of the jazzy Intro and FadeOut...but also
I like "Gangsters Of The Groove" in long
version.
From the Album"Hot Property" there is
"One Night Tan" very playable.
Cosmic Love & Kisses From SIRIUS & DARKTUNES
I like all of their hit songs, like "Boogie Nights", "Always and Forever" and "The Groove Line".

This is strange,
I dont know why, but I dont like Heatwave. I did listen to their songs several times, but they never did ring a bell!! I love Rod Temperton's work with Quincy Jones, George Benson, Brothers Johnson, Michael Jackson, but Heatwave......sorry, I cant get like Heatwave.
Peace
SENHORES DO GROOVE - BRAZIL
"Boogie Nights" is my favorite song of theirs.
By the way, I agree with Hustle Baby about "Always and Forever". When Mega 92.3 was on the air, they played that song all the time, and I got burned out on it.
im not heatwaves biggest fan.nor was i the biggest "groove line" fan until the u.s.remix came through that added that little extra something that song needed, thats mine!
Oh my......how can I forget "Groove Line"! "Boogie Nights" is good but "Groove Line" is better!!!
*DELIGHTFUL*
My favorite is "Boogie nights, I also remember a bootleg with the interplay between 'Funky town' and 'Boogie Nights',(?),
-Won't you take me to..Boogie Nights...
Funky town..Boogie nights...won't you take me to...boogie nights...Funky town...boogie nights, good stuff...
I'll stick with "Groove Line" and it's a shame that the 24/7 radio-play of "Always and Forever" has forever soured me on this group. I still slam the car radio off when ANY version of this song comes on.

I only know 3 songs by Heatwave. All three have been mentioned. Did they have a bunch of hits I never heard of????
Paul, how about doing some artists with LOTS & LOTS of hits????? Hmmmm???
Last week, I only knew one Slave song "Just a Touch Of Love", so what's the point of voting!!!!!????
What about The O'Jays or Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes or The Spinners or Aretha or Marvin Gaye or Rufus or Chaka Khan or Rose Royce or The Supremes or The Temptations or, well, you get the picture????
I'm just askin'!!!!! Don't mean to harsh your buzz, dude.
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
My commercial favorite is "Groove line". But my real favorites are album tracks: "Big guns" and "Goin' crazy". Everybody who mentioned they got tired of Heatwave, please give these tracks a try.
Hey Mixmachine, I have that Boogie Nights/Funky Town mix on a tape somewhere. It works indeed extremely well. If I remember correctly, it was part of a disco mix.
