Hey, hey, somebody moved me. This was a response to the other find "I don't want to be a freak". It's not a bad topic though.
How about "Here I am" by Dynasty. Great guitar and solo towards the end and very, very strong verses.

So it's not a "Sticky" anymore....???
Eddie,
this is the first time you've heard this song? or what's the deal with your thread. Or am I retarded and don't know what's going on?
good song... gotta rate it in my all-time top 200 dance songs. when I put it down for a year, play it, it sounds absolutely brand new.
Originally I mentioned Dynasty's "Here I am" in response to the thread started on "I don't want to be a freak". Then I noticed that someone cut and pasted my words and created a new thread which was not what I had intended. I meant for it to be a response to a song that I prefer by the aformentioned group.
Well hey let's just talk about Dynasty!
In my opinion a really underated group, I love:
Here I am
I've just begun to love you (Superb electric guitar in a dance track!)
Groove control
Adventures in the land of music
Does that ring a bell (Remix)
Do me right
They did however have one really hideous LP at the end of the 80's, shame!!
Well, that was a ride that never took off.....so I will try again (but Thanks to Bernie and the contributors for having a go !!)
Isaac Hayes -Moonlight Loving - WHAT a track - on disc two of " A Tom Moulton Mix' CD - that playful piano (?) and the Bass/ rhythm section is brilliant ....and then the full orchestration elements get a turn to 'solo' ... Oh and Isaac and the backing singers are smooth and cool too !..
......BUMPS ALONG with great Punches of brass in all the right places (best listened to with cans on, or on a RELLY high end system).......maybe not a 'dancer' record, but definately a great toe-tapper (and anything else you can tap...........legally)....MAGIC !
The second entry is James Wells - True Love is my Destiny - available on the Savarese mix CD's (search Savarese on this site for the eBay Seller)... I have the CD's but can't get past the first one (although others don't exactly give 10/10 for rest) .
Great sound, great production, why was this NOT a 12" release in it's own right !!! - Great piano tinkle again (I said PIANO tinkle Sandra Dee/Marky :D )..and that great string uplift !!!!
...and BTW the very next track on the CD is Cream ..by Gregg Diamond /Bionic boogie which HAS to be the prototype for THRILLER by Michael Jackson !!!
Totally agree with you Zef, Dynasty is awesome, thanks to lead singer Jody Watley (who went solo later on).
another track worth to mention from Dynasty: Love in the fast lane
which is similar to Whisper's - In the raw
@ Disco 1999: Don't mix Shalamar and Dynasty.....!!
Correct my mistake, voices are a little similar, I should say.
